Civil Air Patrol Foundation
The Civil Air Patrol Foundation was created to promote and provide direct financial support to the programs and missions of Civil Air Patrol. It was also created to provide scholarships and assistance to cadets, teachers, and members who are actively involved in helping make their local communities a better place to live and work in. With more than 56,000 members nationwide, CAP performs 90 percent of continental U.S. search and rescue missions and has been credited with saving, on average, about 100 lives every year. Its volunteers perform homeland security, disaster relief missions, play a leading role in aerospace education, and serve as mentors to the nearly 22,000 young people currently participating in CAP cadet programs. CAP members have been performing missions for America since 1941 - - more than 66 years of service. The CAP Foundation is a 501 (C) (3) organization and all donations are 100-percent tax deductible.
