Aircraft Avionics Maintenance Coordinator. The Aircraft Avionics Maintenance Coordinator advises customers and senior management on aircraft maintenance requirements and processes. Coordinates and recommends appropriate maintenance actions and parts replacement between customers, vendors and Fixed Base Operation (FBO) service centers. Keeps current on avionics updates and trends and advises CAP/LGM and CAP Leadership on Avionics fitment and capability issues. Manages  avionics upgrades for a fleet of 540 aircraft to keep the fleet up to date and consistent across all assigned aircraft models. Helps CAP/LGM inspect and receive new aircraft from the factory when purchased by CAP, acting as the owner’s representative. Performs technical analysis of requests for major maintenance on general aviation fleet such as Cessna, Gippsland, Maule, Schweizer and Blanik aircraft to include avionics, engine, and fuselage repairs.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Associate degree or higher with focus in Aviation Maintenance or Aircraft Avionics preferred

  • Minimum of three years Aircraft Maintenance management experience and four years Aircraft Avionics experience required

  • Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing 

  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access and Power BI is a plus

  • Garmin G1000 Avionics experience highly desired

  • FAA A&P or Pilot certificate preferred

  • General Aviation Maintenance Management experience highly desired 

  • Ability to work independently and produce timely and accurate results
