Job Title:  Alabama Wing Administrator (Full-time)    
Salary:  $19.40 hourly
Location:  Maxwell AFB, AL
Reports to:  Wing Financial Analyst/Dotted Line Responsibilities to Wing Commanders
Closing date:  25 October 2020


Wing Administrator (Full-time).  Works independently to provide administrative and program support to the Civil Air Patrol Wing Commander.  Maintains financial and personnel records to ensure Wing compliance with Headquarters’ and government requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Must have two years of verifiable experience in an administrative position, demonstrating attention to detail in accurately composing, preparing, and proofing written material to meet established deadlines while juggling multiple competing priorities.

  • At least 3 years of verifiable bookkeeping experience is required.

  • Must have excellent Microsoft Office skills with a solid working knowledge of Word and Excel.

  • Must be able to compose non-technical correspondence using a strong command of the English language and proper punctuation.

  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and practices relating to files required.

  • Must have experience operating office equipment such as copier and fax machine.

  • The job requires a high level of interpersonal skills including poise, tact, and diplomacy.

  • Ability to work occasional short-notice overtime required.

  • Knowledge of Civil Air Patrol preferred not required.  

  • Ability to adapt correspondence to standard Air Force guidelines desired.

  • Associates Degree preferred.
