SUMMARY
The Director of Logistics and Mission Resources leads a specialized team responsible for managing and executing logistics activities, such as aircraft, small uncrewed aircraft systems (sUAS), and vehicle fleet management, property management, real property, facility maintenance, communications equipment, to support Civil Air Patrol (CAP) National Headquarters (NHQ) and more than 65 thousand volunteers across all 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. This role establishes policy and procedures for the logistics functional areas and ensures compliance with 2 CFR 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. The position also provides overall logistics management; defines objectives, establishes priorities and is responsible for anticipating and developing solutions to address emergent problems affecting CAP’s logistics system. The director is ultimately responsible for working and coordinating with third-party vendors, service providers, and strategic partners to develop the most agile and resilient logistics system to ensure the long-term success of the corporation.
The ideal candidate will possess:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Senior-level experience in logistics management and/or supply chain operations.

Strong understanding of aircraft and vehicle maintenance, asset management, and contracting processes.

Experience managing geographically dispersed and remote teams.

Federal Grants and 2 CFR 200 experience highly desired.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to a broad scope of audiences.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data from various sources and generate insights and recommendations.

High-level interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with people at all levels of the organization and across a range of different backgrounds, perspectives, and lived experiences.
