The Civil Air Patrol Information Technology Team supports the great work of our volunteers with operational technologies designed to assist them in their valuable mission. We are currently searching for multiple Software Engineering candidates to add to our growing IT team. Internship Description
Company seeks an intern with experience in software design, coding and debugging. The intern will gain exciting real-world software engineering experience focused on developing best practices at a dynamic nonprofit organization.  


Work involves collaborating with an assigned Technical Coach as well as the larger Information Team and applying best practice solutions to meet end user requirements. The ideal intern for this environment will be an enthusiastic learner who is focused on collaboration.


Responsibilities

  • Develop or Maintain applications (coding, programming)

  • Document and test new or existing software applications

  • Assess new application ideas

Requirements

  • Major in Computer Science/Network Engineering, Engineering, or Mathematics; preferably rising Junior or Senior

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Ability to work well in teams

  • Experience in one or more programming languages

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
