JOB SUMMARY:

Civil Air Patrol’s Cadet Program is an afterschool STEM and character development activity, preparing today’s cadets to become tomorrow’s aerospace leaders. The Program Manager, Cadet Support Services, oversees three major subprograms (textbooks, uniforms, awards) and provides administrative and project management support. This role includes acting as the primary IT interface for eServices projects, serving as a data analyst, delivering quality customer service to the field, and managing smaller subprograms supporting the CAP cadet community. This role also manages cadet talent development processes, procedures, and outcomes related to the program. Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk, including termination or adjustments to the program if appropriate. Acts as a liaison between Civil Air Patrol headquarters and program stakeholders. The manager also communicates and collaborates with internal staff teams to provide training and information required to support program success.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • High School diploma is required.

  • Must have 2 years of related experience required. Related experience includes: basic bookkeeping, budget creation, budget tracking, and payables, project management, and quality improvement.

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Planner, Teams, PowerBI, and PowerQuery within Excel and Microsoft SQL) is required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent conflict resolution and de-escalation skills are required.

  • Must be detail-oriented.

  • A highly level of organizational and time-management skills are required.

  • Strong Analytical skills and experience in data-driven decision-making.

  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes- Volunteers

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:  Valid State Driver’s License
