Civil Air Patrol
Civil Air Patrol’s Board of Governors provides strategic oversight, fiduciary stewardship, and governance direction for the organization’s congressionally chartered missions.
The Board of Governors is the governing body of Civil Air Patrol. It is composed of 11 members representing the U.S. Air Force, Civil Air Patrol, and jointly appointed leaders from organizations with expertise in civil aviation and CAP’s mission.
The Board exercises the powers granted to Civil Air Patrol, including governance oversight, organizational policy direction, and stewardship of CAP’s public-service responsibilities.
Members bring experience from military service, aviation, education, nonprofit leadership, government, and Civil Air Patrol volunteer service.
