  • 26 Dec 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin SB0-25-01, Revision 4, Crew Seat Recline Modification. 

Reason for Revision:

Group A Airplanes (Applies to CAP Aircraft):  To add a Conformity of Installation Inspection requirement for airplanes on which MK172-25-10A or MK172-25-10B has been installed.

To announce Modification Kit MK172-25-10 Revision C.

To provide notification that 206H and T206H models with an optional Keith Products, L.P. air conditioner system (installed in accordance with Supplemental Type Certificate # SA10144SC) will require modification of the installation in accordance with Keith Products, L.P. Service Bulletin No. SB205 before installing MK172-25-10C.

  • 26 Dec 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin SB06-24-04.  Circuit Breaker Inspection. 

Effectivity:  The following airplanes equipped with the Garmin G1000/Nav III system may have one or more part number S2899L10.0, S2899L15.0, or S2899L20.0 circuit breakers installed that are affected by this Service Bulletin.

CAP 182T aircraft with s/n 18281723 thru 18281876.

Compliance:  Mandatory; shall be accomplished within the next 100 hours of operation or 12 months, whichever occurs first.

  • 26 Dec 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin SB06-24-05.  Circuit Breaker Panel Assembly Inspection. 

Effectivity:  The following airplaines equipped with the Garmin G1000/Nav III System.

  • 7 Dec 06 - Gippsland Service Bulletin SB-GA8-2002-02 Issue 3. Horizontal Stabilizer Inspection. 

Applicability: All GA8 aircraft, serial numbers GA8-00-004 and up.

NOTE: NHQ/LGM mailed  copy has been sent to each Wing on 7 Dec 06, which has a GA8 aircraft.


  • 22 Nov 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin SB06-34-02,  Revision 1, Garmin G1000 System Software Upgrade. 

Effectivity:  See SB for applicable serial numbers. 

Compliance: Mandatory; shall be accomplished within the next 100 hours of operations or 12 months, whichever occurs first.


  • 6 Nov 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin SB06-11-02:  Pilot's Checklist Revisions. 

Effectivity:  The following airplanes equipped with the Garmin G1000 Nav III Avionics Option (See SB for serial numbers).  NHQ/LGM will mail the checklists to the Wing Maintenance Officers.


  • 23 Oct 06 - NOTE:  See Revision 1 above. Cessna Service Bulletin SB06-53-01, Fuselage Stringer Rivet Inspection.

Description:  The airplane shall be inspected and if necessary, the specified rivets shall be installed as described in the Service Bulletin.

  • 11 Sep 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin SEB06-5, Electrical Ground Strap Inspection. 

Effectivity: The following airplanes that have had a part number 0412007-1 0412007-1, 0412007-13 or 0412007-15 replacement ground strap installed that was shipped from Cessna Parts Distribution on March 11, 2004 through February 20 2006

AND

The following airplanes that have had a part number 0412007-8 or 0412007-12 replacement ground strap installed that was shipped from Cessna Parts Distribution on February 11, 2005 through February 20, 2006.

Also affected are any of the above listed part number ground straps in Service Station stock that were shipped from Cessna Parts Distribution during the dates identified above.  See SB for airplane serial #s.

Compliance:  Mandatory: shall be accomplished at the next scheduled 100 hour or annual (12 month) type inspection, not to exceed the next 12 months, whichever occurs first.


  • 24 Jul 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin  SB04-25-01, Revision 3, Crew Seat Recline Modification

Reason for Revision:
 
Group A Airplanes:  To add a Conformity of Installation Inspection requirement for airplanes on which MK172-25-10A has been installed.
 
To announce Modification Kit MK172-25-10 Revision B.
 
Group B Airplanes:
  No change
 
Changes are required for incorporating the Conformity of Installation Inspection and MK172-25-10B.

  • 19 Jun 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin, SB06-71-02, Title: Engine Compartment Fuel Hoses Security Inspection

Effectivity:  See SB for serial numbers that apply

Reason:  One report has been received of loose fuel hose connections to the fuel injector servo.

Compliance:  Mandatory; shall be accomplished within the next five hours of operation on airplanes that have not had a 100 hour annual (12 month) inspection of the engine installation fuel hoses for security and tightness of the end fittings.

  • 8 May 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin, SB06-24-01, Title: Electrical Ground Strap Inspection. 

Effectivity:  See SB for applicable serial numbers and part numbers. 

Compliance:  shall be accomplished at the next 100 hour or annual (12 month) type inspection, not to exceed the next 12 months, whichever occurs first.  Note:  Inspect the electrical ground strap for an improper strap.  The SB applies to all C182T aircraft and C206H aircraft.  It also applies to all C172R and C172S aircraft that have had the electrical ground strap replaced between 11 Mar 2004 and 20 Feb 2006.

  • 3 Apr 06 - Gippsland Aeronautics Service Bulletin, SB-GA8-2006-35, Subject:  Horizontal Stabiliser Trim Indicator Inspection. 

Applicability:  GA8 serial numbers GA8-00-004 through GA8-06-100. 

Background:  Situations have arisen where the trim position indicator reaches the end of its travel before the horizontal stabiliser is adjusted to the full leading edge down (i.e. nose up trim) position.  When this occurs, further movement of the trim wheel may possibly lead to damage of the trim cable clamp mount, attaching bulkhead and associated hardware.

Compliance:  For all applicable aircraft, inspect the horizontal stabiliser trim indicator clamp mount and the attaching bulkhead (refer to figure 2) in accordance with the inspection procedure detailed in section 1 of the instructions contained in this Service Bulletin at the next 100 hour/annual inspection after 30 April 2006.


27 Mar 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin, SB06-71-01, Title:  Engine Crankshaft Retirement. 

Effectivity:  See SB for s/n of aircraft delivered from Cessna equipped with a Lycoming IO-540 or TIO-540 engine and/or engine crankshaft listed in Lycoming Mandatory Service Bulletin No. 569 (or latest revision).  Description:  According to Lycoming; Lycoming has continued to analyze crankshafts in service.  While there have been no failures in the crankshafts, which are the subject of Lycoming Mandatory Service Bulletin No. 569, as part of Lycomings' commitment to quality, they are initiating a crankshaft retirement program.  This crankshaft retirement program requires the removal of the subject crankshafts when the crankcase is separated or at overhaul, whichever occurs first, not to exceed February 21, 2009.

Compliance:  Mandatory; shall be accomplished at the crankcase separation or at next overhaul, whichever occurs first, not to exceed three years from the date of Lycoming Mandatory Service Bulletin No. 569; therefore affected crankshafts must be retired by February 21, 2009.

Credit Information:  Refer to Lycoming Mandatory Service Bulletin No. 569 (or latest revision).  To receive credit, the work must be completed and a Warranty Claim submitted by a Cessna Single Engine Service Station within 30 calendar days of Service Bulletin compliance before the credit expiration dates shown below.  Make sure to include the engine model, engine serial number and engine date of manufacture with the Warranty Claim.  The affected removed crankshaft must be returned with the Warranty Claim.  CREDIT EXPIRATION DATE: February 21, 2009


  • 27 Mar 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin SB06-34-02, Title:  Garmin G1000 System Software Upgrade. 

Effectivity:  See SB for serial numbers.  Description:  The Garmin G1000 system software shall be upgraded as described in this Service Bulletin. 

Compliance:  Mandatory; shall be accomplished within the next 100 hours of operation or 12 months, whichever occurs first. 

CREDIT EXPIRATION DATE: March 27, 2007


  • 27 Mar 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin SB06-11-01, Title:  Pilot's Operating Handbook Revisions. 

Effectivity:  See SB for s/n of airplanes equipped with the Garmin G1000 Nav III Avionics Option. 

Reason:  To provide revisions to the Pilot's Operating Handbook. 

Compliance:  Mandatory; the revisions shall be reviewed and incorporated as soon as possible, but no later than the next 100 hours of operation or 4 months, whichever occurs first.


  • 27 Mar 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin, SEB06-3, Title:  Alternate Static Source Placard Inspection. 

Effectivity:  See SEB for models and serial number of affected a/c.  Purpose:  It has been determined that some alternate static source placards may have words "OPEN" and "CLOSED" incorrectly positioned on the placard.  The alternate static course placard shall be inspected and if necessary, replaced as described in this Service Bulletin.  Non-compliance with the Service Bulletin could allow an incorrectly worded placard to instruct the pilot to move the alternate static source lever to the wrong position. 

Compliance:  Mandatory; shall be accomplished during the next scheduled inspection.  Flight in Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) condition is prohibited until the inspection is accomplished.


  • 14 Feb 06 - Gippsland Aeronautics Service Bulletin, SB-GA8-2005-29, Issue 2 - Subject:  Seat Track Stops. 

Applicability:  All GA8 serial numbers up to S/N GA8-05-088. 

Amendments:  Minor alteration to the installation instruction sequence and parts listing.  Aircraft modified in accordance with Issue 1 of the SB require no further action.

Compliance:  Mandatory - to be complied with at the next periodic inspection after 31 March 2006.


  • 15 Feb 06 - Cessna Service Bulletin, SB05-53-03 Revision 1, Title:  Floorboard Bulkhead Rivet Inspection.

Effectivity:

Reason:  It has been determined that some airplanes may have been delivered with up to 4 rivets missing from the floorboard between the crew seats at the FS 56.70 bulkhead.

Compliance:  Mandatory; shall be accomplished at the next 100 hour or annual/12 month inspection, whichever occurs first. 

NOTE:  Compliance with SB05-53-03, Revision 1 is not required if in compliance with SB05-53-03.

  • 17 Jan 06 - Gippsland Aeronautics Service Bulletin, SB-GA8-2005-29, Subject:  Seat Track Stops. 

Applicability:  All GA8 serial numbers up to SN GA8-05-088. 

Background:  The current location of the pilot and second occupant seat stops allows for the possibility that at either seat's most forward position, aft movement of the control column is restricted by the seat structure.  This SB relocates the seat stops to eliminate this possibility.

Compliance:  Mandatory - to be complied with at the next periodic inspection after 31 March 2006.

Warranty:  Gippsland Aeronautics factory participation is limited to new aircraft in warranty at the time of compliance.
