Cessna Service Bulletin SB08-27-01

January 28, 2008

Copilot Rudder Pedal Pin Inspection

Effectivity:

Model      Serial #

  • 182T        18281934 thru 18282053
  • T182T      T18208716 thru T18208815

Reason:  It has been determined that some airplanes may have been delivered with a longer than desired pin installed that is used to connect the left copilot rudder pedal to the rudder bar link.  If a longer than desired pin is installed it could potentially interfere with an elevator cable that is located just aft of the firewall.  Description:  The copilot left rudder pedal to rudder bar link pin shall be inspected.  If a longer than desired pin is installed it shall be replaced as described in this Service Bulletin.   Compliance:  Mandatory; shall be accomplished within the next 50 hours of operation or 60 days, whichever occurs first.

CREDIT EXPIRATION DATE:  28 Jan 2009

NOTE:  Service Bulletins considered mandatory, by the CAP Service Bulletin Committee, and Service Bulletins marked mandatory by the manufacturer, with a credit date, will be posted on this page and distributed to the appropriate Wings.
