Reason:  It has been determined that on some airplanes, vibration, bends, and torsional stress on the alternator power cable may cause cracks and fractures of the alternator ring terminal.

Compliance:  Mandatory; shall be accomplished at the next 100-hour or 12-month (annual) type inspection, whichever occurs first.
