Engine Mount Bracket Inspection

Purpose:  Reports have been received of cracks being found in some upper and lower engine truss mounting brackets that are installed behind the firewall.  This Service Bulletin provides instructions to do an inspection of the brackets, and if necessary, to replace the brackets.  Non compliance with the Service Bulletin could result in having less that the desire structural integrity of  the upper and lower engine truss mounting brackets. 

Effectivity:  See Bulletin for serial numbers.  It does appear to apply to:

  • N701DE - DE Wing
  • N236NY - NY Wing
  • N737YP - TX Wing
  • N738RC - MN Wing
  • N739SH - ID Wing
  • N8410E - TX Wing
  • N9321E - PR Wing

Compliance:  Mandatory; see Bulletin for compliance procedures.  The Wing is responsible for any costs.


NOTE:  Service Bulletins considered mandatory, by the CAP Service Bulletin Committee, and Service Bulletins marked mandatory by the manufacturer, with a credit date, will be posted on this page and distributed to the appropriate Wings.
