Cessna Service Bulletin SEB08-5

Effectivity:  The following airplanes that have had a part number 2013142-18 Alternate Static Source Selector Valve installed that was shipped from Cessna Parts Distribution on January 1, 1993 through February 18, 2008:  See SB for s/n.

Also effected are any part number 2013142-18 alternate static source selector valves in Service Station stock that were shipped from Cessna Parts Distribution on January 1, 1983 through February 18, 2008.

Purpose:  To confirm that the alternate static port located on the alternate static source selector valve is not restricted by a part number placard.  The alternate static source selector valve shall be inspected to verify that the alternate static port in the valve is not restricted by a part number placard.  The part number placard shall be removed from the valve body if it restricts the static port as described in this Service Bulletin.

Non-compliance ith this Service Bulletin could result in the altimeter, airspeed indicator, and vertical speed indicator to display erroeneous indications.

Compliance:  Mandatory:

A.  For IFR conditions;  shall be accomplished prior to further flight.

B.  For VFR conditions; shall be accomplished at the next scheduled inspection, with the next 100 hours of operation or 4 months, whichever occurs first.
