Cessna Service Bulletin SEB09-3 - 27 Apr 09

Purpose:  To transmit Teledyne Continental Motors (TCM) Service Bulletin SB08-7 and Precision Mandatory Service Bulletin MSA-14 Carburetor Throttle Body to Bowl Screw Inspection.

According to Precision, instances have been reported of leakage past the gasket between the bowl assembly and throttle body of the carburetor, evidenced by fuel stains in the area of the leak.  Leakage of this type may be accompanied by loose screws that attach the bowl and throttle body.

All affected carburetors shall be inspected as described in Teledyne Continental Service Bulletin SB08-7 (or latest revision) and Precision Mandatory Service Bulletin MSA-14 (or latest revision)

Compliance:  Mandatory: shall be accomplished within the next 50hrs of engine operation and at each 100hrs of engine operation thereafter, or anytime fuel stains are evident as  stated in Teledyne Continental Service Bulletin SB08-7 (or latest revision)  Precision Mandatory Service Bulletin MSA-14 (or latest revision).
