Planelogix FAQ's
Transition and Implementation
What is the official timeline for full transition from AMRAD to PlaneLogix?
The CAP fleet begins full onboarding 3 Aug 26, with the entire fleet onboarded NLT 30 Aug 2027
What should be shipped with aircraft records?
Pelican cases will be received by each unit, with a list of items included to return. The packing list is also available here and attached to the onboarding email sent 30 days prior to records shipment. We ask that any ARROW documents are packed in the plastic sleeve, while everything else, binders, folders, etc. are secured as not to scatter documents during shipping. If the aircraft logbooks records are stored in fire boxes or bags, those should not be included with the packed records.
Will historical maintenance records be migrated automatically, or will we need to manually verify entries?
All historical aircraft maintenance records will be digitized and viewable in Planelogix. Planelogix and NHQ are responsible for verifying accuracy of maintenance records.
What is the expectation for validating migrated data accuracy?
All maintenance records will be validated by Planelogix and NHQ for accuracy.
Is there a transition period where both systems must be maintained?
No, once aircraft are onboarded into Planelogix, aircraft will be permanently removed from AMRAD. NHQ will have access to historical records in AMRAD.
Who is the primary point of contact for PlaneLogix troubleshooting or training?
CAP IT is the primary POC for Planelogix issues. A ticket can be submitted through the Help Desk, here: https://capnhq.crmdesk.com/home.aspx
Planelogix training will be hosted in ABSORB, accessed via eServices.
Additionally, there is a feedback option located within Planelogix to communicate issues/errors received while working within Planelogix.

VOR Checks and Record Keeping
Will VOR checks continue to be documented in the aircraft paper log?

Operations controls this requirement; however, Planelogix has been built for pilots or AMO's to log VOR checks. if maintained in Planelogix, paper aircraft logs can be disposed of.
User Access and Permissions
Will all pilots have access to the same PlaneLogix features, or will AMOs have additional privileges?
Pilots and AMO's will have different permissions, based on their roles. AMO's can do everything pilots can, in addition to other privileges for squawks, tracked items, work order packets and approval of work within their threshold. .Permissions are stricter than previously available in AMRAD, designed to reduce the burden on volunteers.
Are AMO access privileges aircraft-specific?
AMO's will have access to make changes to aircraft assigned to them and view the rest of the fleet.
Does PlaneLogix apply a timestamp and user identification to each entry?
Yes, a "created by" and a "date time" will apply to every entry. There is also a "modified by" entry with time.
Will AMOs be able to view which user entered a squawk?
All entries have an audit trail, showing who created, modified or updated a squawk, along with the time.
Will the system display the user’s role (Pilot, AMO, Aircrew/MO, etc.)?
The system is designed to pull permissions from eServices. The role assigned there will provide permissions but is not listed within Planelogix.
System Functionality and Usability
Is there a PlaneLogix mobile application?
Not at this time. Currently, Planelogix is a web-based application, accessed through eServices for CAP.
Is there a way to create or modify “favorite aircraft” for quick access and is this function associated with "My Units"?
Not at this time. The dashboard view will be based off the wing you are assigned to. There are options to toggle between "All" and "My Units" tab and see either the entire CAP fleet or only aircraft assigned to your wing.

Does PlaneLogix allow users to save frequently used information (such as preferred maintenance vendors or service providers)?
Yes, these are saved under "Contract Facilities" and will be searchable when creating work order packets. New vendors will be added at their first use.
Operational Workflow and Documentation
Will pilots and aircrew be able to view or download aircraft POHs directly from PlaneLogix, or should ForeFlight remain the primary reference source?
Aircraft POH's are available for viewing and download, along with all other scanned aircraft documents via the documents tab.
Who is responsible for determining the priority classification of a squawk?
Pilots will input a priority based off CAP classifications. Classification of the squawk is selected during creation of the squawk with options for AOG, High, Medium & Low but can be adjusted by NHQ. AMO's can adjust to a higher priority but not adjust to a lower priority.
AOG: Aircraft on Ground and cannot fly safely
High: Urgent issue affecting safe operation; grounds the aircraft
Medium: Should be fixed soon; aircraft remains operational
Low: Minor issue; schedule when convenient. Aircraft remains operational
Will the system replace the maintenance outlook in WIMRS?
The maintenance snapshot will remain; however, the maintenance report will be removed from WIMRS. Information will be reported from Planelogix, not WIMRS.
If a pilot notes a damage classification during squawk reporting, does it cause issues with any further investigation of pilot/crew actions?
No, this is strictly a program management metric.
It seems confusing to log into the system, do we go in through the maintenance area at NHQ?
Access to Planelogix is granted through eServices. Once logged into eServices, select Menu, then Logistics and Planelogix.
