Volunteer National Staff Vacancies

The Chief Operating Officer, in coordination with the National Commander, is searching for qualified CAP members to fill important National staff positions. Volunteer positions will be filled as additional duties so units in the field continue to enjoy the benefit of using members’ knowledge and skills at the local level.  These positions are not paid positions.

How to Apply:
The process that will be used to select these new staff members is outlined in the attached graphic.  

1.  Complete the National Staff Application Form

2.  Send it to HQCAPDP@capnhq.gov   

3.  A two-page maximum resume may also be submitted with the application form.  

**Please note that a resume can be submitted in place of the application form if it contains all the information listed on the application.

DO- AeroNet Section Lead  - Applications must be received by 11:59 pm Central Time on 27 April 2025.

DO- Team Awareness (TAK) Section Lead  - Applications must be received by 11:59 pm Central Time on 27 April 2025.

CP- Assistant National Cadet Special Activities Coordinator - Applications must be received by 11:59 pm Central Time on 4 May 2025

CP- Spaatz Essay Reviewer- Applications must be received by 11:59 pm Central Time on 7 May 2025.

DO- National Geospatial Technical Support Assistant  - Applications must be received by 11:59 pm Central Time on 18 May 2025.

DEV- Development Advisory Council Leader  - Applications must be received by 11:59 pm Central Time on 18 May 2025.

CG- National Director of Recruiting  - Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
