IG College The CAP Inspector General College provides advanced training for members serving in the Inspector General program. This course enhances the knowledge and skills required to support commanders through effective complaint resolution, compliance oversight, and professional IG practices. Participants will engage in practical discussions and scenario-based learning focused on: Complaint resolution and investigative standards Continuous compliance and inspection methodology IG independence and professional ethics Collaboration with commanders and helping agencies The IG College is designed to strengthen the professionalism and effectiveness of the CAP Inspector General corps while promoting organizational accountability and confidence. Dates: 26-27 Aug 2026 Open to: Anyone Registered for National Conference Cost: $50 Deadline for registration is 29 July 2026. Enrollment limited to 25. Conference attendance and other events available at extra cost. C Partial refund offered (subject to a $20 administrative fee through 8/21/2026). Membership Termination Appeal Board Training This one-day course is designed to train commanders, command staff, legal officers, and senior leaders to serve on a Civil Air Patrol Membership Termination Appeal Board. The course consists of classroom instruction covering the requirements and procedures for appeals as stated in CAPR 35-3 (Membership Termination), followed by hands-on, interactive moot sessions focusing on practical application of material taught for an intensive, immersive one-day training opportunity. Graduates will have gained familiarity with the process of selecting and appointing a membership termination appeal board, conducting an appeal board hearing, preparing a report, and following the appropriate after-action procedures. Attendance limited to command council, legal officers, and senior leaders only. Deadline for registration is 29 July 2026. Please contact Lt Col Anne Formanek for questions.
