2023 National AEO School Registration Information

Thank you for your positive response. 2023 National AEO School has sold out. Please visit the Eventbrite link to place your name on the waitlist in the event of cancellations.

Registration Information

Registration is a two-step process. Each participant needs to complete the following:

1. Sign up and pay for AEO School on Eventbrite.

2. Make lodging arrangements through Best Western.

Lodging information: 

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Cocoa Beach Best Western. 

Check-in/Check-out:

  • AEOs:  Sunday, June 11, and check-out Friday, June 16, or Saturday, June 17 

  • AEMs: Monday, June 12, and check-out Friday, June 16 or Saturday, June 17 

  • Times: Check-in is 4 p.m. and check-out is 11 a.m. 

Hotel Rate: 

Exterior Room Garden Courtyard: $144 (+17.28 taxes) - Total: $161.28 per night   

Each participant will need to make their reservations online or by calling Cocoa Beach Best Western.

  2. Click on Edit at the top right-hand side of the page. 

  3. Enter check-in and check-out dates and number of adults/number of children staying in room. 

  4. Click on UPDATE.  

  5. Select Room from the options displayed: Exterior Room Garden Courtyard $144.00 + tax = $161.28 daily.

  6. Click Select by room choice.

  7. Fill in Guest Information and Payment 

  8. Click on MAKE RESERVATION at the bottom of the page.

*If attendees would like to come early, the Best Western will allow our group to check in up to three days early and honor the room rate.   

*If participants wish to come in early, registration will need to be completed by phone.  

Room reservations must be made by May 26. After that time, rooms will be released.  

Attendees are responsible for canceling reservations 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid a first-night room cancellation fee.

Reimbursement:

Attendees will pay for their Cocoa Beach Best Western lodging and then submit receipt to CAP National Headquarters for partial reimbursement.

Reminder: In order to receive reimbursement for lodging, attendees must stay at the Cocoa Beach Best Western, which will serve as the home base from which we will leave and return for all events.  This is a per room reimbursement, not an individual reimbursement. 

  • AEOs - $600 

  • AEMs - $500

Airport arrival/departure:

If you are flying, please refer to the Airport information form.

A rental car is not needed during the school, unless you choose to have your own transportation. Transportation will be provided by CAP vans.

Dress code:

AEO School will be held on Patrick Space Force Base in the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI). The dress code is business casual -- no shorts or flip flops. Suits and ties are not required. Polo shirts and slacks are fine.

AEOs: CAP uniform is required on Monday. Any combination is acceptable.

  • Tuesday-Friday, CAP casual uniform combination OR business casual such as polo shirts and slacks.

AEMs: Comfortable clothes, but no shorts or flip flops.

AEO Read Ahead:

Familiarize yourself with CAP/AE Regulations and Pamphlets.

Refund/cancellation policy:
There is a $20 processing fee for cancellations until May 29. Attendees who cancel after May 29 will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.

Registration is limited to the 70 participants. Registration closes May 26 or when limit has been met.
