Vote for Civil Air Patrol to receive a grant of up to $10,000 from Lightspeed Aviation Foundation. The money supports STEM Education for K-6 students, CAP's ACE Program. There are only two weeks left to vote!
Civil Air Patrol is one of 12 finalists for Lightspeed Aviation Foundation's 2015 Pilots Choice Awards grant program, which awards up to $10,000 depending on each finalist's vote ranking.
The National Museum of the Air Force in Dayton, Ohio, will host Civil Air Patrol Day Saturday, Feb. 21. CAP members get free admission and a discount on special attractions (advance reservations required for special attractions). Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The National Association of Rocketry (NAR) offers an Educator Newsletter and a free Rocketry Resource CD-ROM (available to educators and youth leaders in the U.S. and Canada only).
NASA is inviting the public to send their names on a microchip to Mars aboard the Orion spacecraft. Orion's first flight, a 4.5-hour, two-orbit test mission is scheduled for Dec. 4. Your name's journey continues after splashdown as the names will fly on future NASA exploration flights and missions to Mars. The deadline submit your name to the test flight is. Oct. 31.
