Civil Air Patrol is one of 12 finalists for Lightspeed Aviation Foundation's 2015 Pilots Choice Awards grant program, which awards up to $10,000 depending on each finalist's vote ranking.
The National Museum of the Air Force in Dayton, Ohio, will host Civil Air Patrol Day Saturday, Feb. 21. CAP members get free admission and a discount on special attractions (advance reservations required for special attractions). Email theatre@afmuseum.com for more information.

NASA is inviting the public to send their names on a microchip to Mars aboard the Orion spacecraft. Orion's first flight, a 4.5-hour, two-orbit test mission is scheduled for Dec. 4.
