CAP's Rocketry Program for Cadets

Involves the basic Rocketry book and the Advanced Rocketry book, both found in CAP's member portal, eServices/Aerospace Education/AE Downloads and Resources.

  • NAR - The National Association of Rocketry can get individuals connected to the cutting edge of the hobby so they can learn how to fly higher, faster, and better. NAR members get: access to launch sites through local NAR clubs, a bimonthly magazine, insurance coverage for flights, and certification for high power rocket flying. Additionally, NAR provides support for the largest rocket contest on Earth, hundreds of other NAR contest launches, free materials and handouts for teachers, a self-paced rocketry skills and training program available to try for free before purchasing, and dozens of specialty products.   • TARC- Team America Rocketry Challenge: The American Rocketry Challenge is the world’s largest rocket contest with nearly 5,000 students nationwide competing each year. The contest gives middle and high school students the opportunity to design, build and launch model rockets and hands-on experience solving engineering problems.

  • Reach for the Stars National Rocket Competition is a fun rocket challenge from The Rocket Man!
