Ron Browne, an AEM from Minnesota Wing, had the great idea to share Civil Air Patrol's Aerospace Education Program with college students who are studying to be elementary school educators. Browne used CAP's Remote-Controlled Aircraft STEM Kit in an integrated STEM course at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

The students built the Delta Dart, a rubber band-powered model airplane that comes with the kit, and practiced flying on the RC simulator.

"The students were in a class that teaches them to integrate STEM activities in an elementary classroom," Browne said. "The materials and the CAP program itself are really good resources for beginning teachers to use in their classrooms."
