Want to show class pride and order your class some ACE program shirts? If so, we are offering the same purple shirts so you will only need to order for new students if you ordered last year.
Each shirt will cost $4.85 this year. We will have youth medium & small, as well as adult small- 3XL. Download the form to submit your shirt order and payment (doc). (Takes a moment to open.)
We will have three order dates for the 2017-2018 school year, with all order forms and checks sent to the CAP National HQ address on the form by one of the three due dates::
1- Monday, September 11: The early bird orders, which will arrive in mid October in time for the official ACE Lift-off week during Red Ribbon Week of October 23-27, and will also receive Red Ribbons for the students.
2. Tuesday, November 7: Shirts will arrive before Christmas.
3. Thursday, January 11: Shirts will arrive in mid spring for end-of-year activities, trips, and award day.
NOTE: The ACE Program's Sponsor, the Air Force Association , may be able to assist in sponsoring some shirts. The AFA National office pays half the cost of shirts that any local AFA chapter wishes to sponsor for one or more classrooms. The cost to the AFA chapter is $75 for a class set of 30 shirts.
If you want to check with the local/closest Air Force Association (AF) chapter to inquire if they will help you purchase your class shirts, you can try. Some will be interested and have funds, and others will not be able to do so. But, it is worth the time to check! View the AFA Chapter Locator
After you locate the closest AFA chapter, you can contact the chapter president. via e-mail. I would suggest you copy the state president on your e-mail too, as the state president may be able to help the local chapter president support your class!
In your e-mail, you should tell the president(s) the following:
" Hello! My name is ___________ and I am a teacher at ________ school located in ________, __. I have been told that an AFA chapter may be willing to assist me in my participation of the CAP/AFA ACE program this year. Would you consider sponsoring my class ACE shirts this year? The cost to your chapter would be $75 per class set of 30 shirts. If interested, the ACE Registration Form for AFA Chapters needed to be sent to CAP is found HERE. We would be so excited to have your chapter sponsor our class shirts this year and would love for anyone in your chapter to coordinate with me to come to the school on special ACE days when we are wearing our ACE shirts and doing exciting aerospace/STEM activities. We would also want someone from your chapter to come to the end-of-year awards day to present our students their ACE certificates while they are wearing their ACE shirts. If you do find an AFA chapter to help pay for your shirts, take photos during the year of the students in their shirts doing STEM activities and send to the chapter. OR, some teachers even make thank you videos for the chapters! See sample thank you video at https://vimeo.com/159813009.
If an entire school wishes to order shirts, please combine orders, if you can, and send one total school order. If you do this, please note that it is for the entire school.
Or, if you have other classes at your school that are in the ACE program and you wish to combine orders to one, just let us know which teachers are included on your order.
