Let's Go Code!
Ages: 4 and older
The Let’s Go Code! STEM Kit is an exciting kit designed to introduce young children to early coding and programming ideas without electronics. Children will have fun and build gross motor skills by stepping, hopping and turning, all while learning the basic foundations of coding. The full-color guide includes sample mazes and coding overview. Mats measure 9 1/2 inches x 9 1/2 inches. Included in this kit are 20 Foam maze mats, 20 double-sided coding cards and 10 die-cut pieces (robots, gears, springs, arrows, and X’s). Instructors can also use this kit to introduce, teach, and reinforce a variety of subjects. This kit offers a great opportunity for older youth to teach younger students beginning coding skills. The possibilities are endless!
Cyber Connection: This early computer coding kit allows young children to apply skills, such as sequencing, estimation, control, and problem-solving, as they begin a path to early cyber knowledge. Learning directional language and algorithms sets the stage for involvement in cyber competitions, such as the Air Force Association's national youth cyber education program, CyberPatriot, and, interest in potential cyber careers.
Approved applicants can expect to receive one or two Let’s Go Code! STEM Kits.
