Parent / Guardian Portal
Introducing the Parent / Guardian Portal!
We are excited to announce the release of a new eServices feature to improve the stakeholder experience in line with my commander’s intent: the Parent / Guardian Portal. The portal has been developed as a hub for parents/guardians of cadets to help manage their cadet’s activities in Civil Air Patrol. This portal provides parents and guardians with secure access to both Registration Zone and CAP Health, ensuring they can actively support their cadet’s participation in and well-being at CAP activities.
Key features of this exciting new tool include:
-
Parent / Guardian electronic approval for attendance at events in Registration Zone. You can manage your cadet’s attendance without paper forms! These are the electronic equivalents of the paper CAPF 60-80 Cadet Activity Permission Slip and CAPF 60-81 Application for CAP Encampment or Special Activity.
-
Parent / Guardian updates of a cadet’s CAP Health profile. Activity leaders can now better understand your cadet’s health needs.
-
Parent / Guardian electronic completion of a cadet’s Over the Counter (OTC) medication digital form. This is the equivalent of the paper CAPF 163 Permission for Provision of Minor Cadet Over-The-Counter Medication, and separate from the CAP Health profile. Cadets cannot access this.
Summer NCSA/CSA/NFAs: Parent / Guardian approvals will be required for all Summer 2026 NCSA/CSA/NFA participants under 18, so if you or your cadet plans on applying for an activity when the application window opens on Monday, December 15th, please link your accounts now. Linking accounts takes no more than a minute! Parent / Guardian approvals, whether paper or electronic, will be required no later than January 18th. Only cadets with approvals on file will be slotted for activities. The Parent / Guardian Portal webpage contains instructions for linking accounts and submitting approvals. We strongly recommend you use these incredible new tools to complete the paperwork needed for your cadet to be slotted for activities, as they provide a quick, easy, and secure way to do so.

1) Log in to eServices, then click your name in the top right corner.
2) Click on Parent / Guardian Account Linking.
Linking a Parent / Guardian who DOES have a CAP account
Follow these steps if your parent / guardian has a CAP account, either because they are a current CAP member or because they have already been linked to another cadet's account (common for families with multiple cadets in CAP).
1) Search for your parent / guardian using the box on the left, Add Linked Account for Parent / Guardian who has a CAP Account. If you are searching for a former member (Ex., a parent who was a CAP member but expired), please submit a helpdesk ticket.

2) After finding your parent / guardian, press Request to Link Account.
3) In the Linked Accounts section at the bottom of your screen, a red PENDING box will appear with the name, CAPID, and Email of the user you sent the request to, as well as a Parent Access Code.

4) Share the Parent Access Code with your parent / guardian. They will need it to complete their steps, listed here. If the code expires, press the blue mail icon to regenerate the code. Click the red trash icon to delete the request.
Linking a Parent / Guardian who DOES NOT have a CAP account
Follow these steps if your parent / guardian does not have a CAP account.
1) Using the box on the right, Add Linked Account for Parent / Guardian who does not have a CAP Account, click the blue mail icon to verify your parent / guardian's email. Your parent / guardian will receive a verification email that must be clicked before proceeding to step 2. If you do not see your parent / guardian's email, follow the instructions in the light blue box to add it to your eServices Cadet Parent Email contacts.

2) Refresh your page, then select your parent / guardian's email using the radio button and press Request to Link Account.

Parent / Guardian - Link a Cadet to my eServices Account
Follow these steps to finalize the link between you and your cadet. If you have not already, ask your cadet to complete these instructions first.
Parents / Guardians who DOES have a CAP account
Follow these steps if you have a CAP account.
1) Click the link in the Linked Account Request email (sent to your primary email in eServices).

2) Enter the Parent Access Code, Cadet's last name, and Date of Birth and click Verify Cadet Access.

Linking a Parent / Guardian who DOES NOT have a CAP account
Follow these steps if your parent / guardian does not have a CAP account.
1) Click the link in the Linked Account Request email (sent to your primary email in eServices).

2) Enter the Parent Access Code, Cadet's last name, and Date of Birth and click Verify Cadet Access.

3) Fill out the Register Guest Account form to create your eServices account, then click Register.

4) You will be emailed a 6-digit CAPID (like a user ID) and prompted to set a password. Save both of these in a secure place; they are your login credentials for eServices.
Parent / Guardian - Approve my Cadet's Registration Zone Application
Follow these steps for activities that require parent / guardian approval. Approval is required prior to slotting for all NCSAs, as well as any other event including slotting.
1) Click the link in the automated email from eServices notifying you that an event requires Parent / Guardian approval.

2) In the Event Details section, click the red Event Approval button. You may see "You are already registered for an event during this time." This does not prevent approvals.

3) Select Approve or Disapprove for the event. If you select disapprove, a reason must be included. The reason will be visible to your cadet and the activity director.
4) Click Submit as the bottom of the screen.
Parent / Guardian - Update my Cadet's CAP Health Profile
Follow these steps to update your cadet's CAP Health profile. CAP Health is required for all national activities, as well as many region, wing, and unit activities. Many events require that a cadet's CAP Health profile be updated within a specific time period before the beginning of the event. The Accommodations and Medications sections are particularly important! Accommodation requests (dietary restrictions, religious requests, learning disabilities, etc.) help CAP event leaders best support your cadet. Medications not listed here cannot be administered to your cadet during activities.
1) Navigate to the Linked Accounts Dashboard.
As a member, click your name and then click Linked Accounts
As a nonmember, sign into eServices using your CAPID and password
2) From the CAP Health module, click on the link to go to CAP Health

3) The CAP Health home page will display your profile information. Linked accounts for cadets under 18 are displayed on the left sidebar in the Linked Accounts section.
4) Review the Acknowledgement and click I Acknowledge.
5) To add information on a section, click Yes, otherwise click No to continue to the next section. Remember that questions asking "Have you..." refer to your cadet. The Accommodations and Medications sections are particularly important! Accommodation requests (dietary restrictions, religious requests, learning disabilities, etc.) help CAP event leaders best support your cadet. Medications not listed here cannot be administered to your cadet during activities.

6) After all items are green, your cadet's CAP Health profile has been updated. Some events require that you review & recertify your cadet's CAP Health profile when they apply. In this case, all boxes will already be green, but each tab must be reviewed to recertify the CAP Health profile.

Parent / Guardian - Submit my Cadet's OTC Medication Form
Follow these steps to provide permission for CAP to administer OTC medications to your cadet during CAP events, according to package directions. OTC Medications not listed here cannot be administered to your cadet during activities.
1) Navigate to the Linked Accounts Dashboard.
As a member, click your name and then click Linked Accounts
As a nonmember, sign into eServices using your CAPID and password
