Job Title:  Program Administrator, Cadet Aviation

Location:  Maxwell AFB, AL (Hybrid; Not eligible for remote hire)

Reports To:  Kathrine Schmidt, Senior Program Manager, Cadet Aviation

FLSA Status:  Non-exempt

Salary:  $56,300

SUMMARY:

Cadet Aviation Program Administrator supports subprograms that help cadets pursue orientation and certification in aviation career fields, primarily flight training. (e.g., scholarship program, financial assistance for career exploration activities, individual flight training programs, etc.).

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Two years’ experience in an administrative position is desired.

  • Familiarity with the CAP Cadet Program is a plus.

  • The ability to work in virtual environments is required.

  • Excellent attention to financial details and accuracy is required.

  • Must have competent business writing skills, accurate and grammatically correct email replies to customers and succinct, grammatically correct posts for our blog and social media.

  • Competency in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro is required.

  • Familiarity with MS Teams and MS Planner is a plus.

  • Prior experience with MS Teams, One Drive, and Dropbox cloud storage, Constant Contact, and a content management system is desired.

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or a similar role is a plus.

  • Proficiency in payment processing software is desired.

  • Remote work experience is desired.

  • Aviation-related experience or education is desirable, but not required.

  • Familiarity with the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program, enthusiasm for aviation and/or enthusiasm for positive youth development would be a plus.

  • Valid state driver’s license
