Operations Support

Operations Support Overview

Civil Air Patrol performs a wide range of operational missions, including Search and Rescue (SAR), Disaster Relief (DR), Counterdrug (CD) operations, and Homeland Security (HLS). Most of these missions are carried out under CAP’s role as the United States Air Force Auxiliary (USAF AUX) as part of Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) under Title 10. CAP also supports state and local authorities under Title 36, often providing assistance before a federal interest is established.

To effectively conduct these missions, CAP relies on a variety of programs, tools, and personnel for Operations Support. This page serves as a central hub for accessing essential resources, guidance, and tools that operations support personnel need to carry out their roles effectively.
