Monies are to be used for tuition, books, or room and board at any post-secondary school (i.e: college, university, vocational-technical school, etc.). GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EDUCATORS  CAP is not conducting an educator member grant program at this time, but would like to share three alliance organizational grant/scholarship programs which we endorse:   1- The Air & Space Forces Association (AFA), CAP's partner in aerospace/STEM education, works to try to assist K-12th grade educators perpetuate aerospace/STEM education programs/projects with an annual $599 competitive grant program. The application dates are from September 1st- December 15th each

  Aerospace/STEM educators are invited to apply for an AOPA flight training scholarship supported by AOPA Foundation funds, and the deadlines are approaching. Eligible educators are those who are teaching the AOPA High School Aviation STEM Curriculum and are interested in pursuing a primary pilot certificate such a as private, sport or recreational pilot certificate. These awards, up to 20 scholarships of $10,000, are a benefit of AOPA membership In addition, AOPA offers 80 $10,000 scholarships to ... students ages 15-18.   AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) is awarding 20 flight training scholarships of $5,000 each to deserving high school students who are passionate about pursuing a pilot's certificate. The deadline to apply for these scholarships is 5 p.m. May 19. Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria Current high school student, 15-18 years old U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident Parent or guardian approval (under 18 years of age) Not have completed a sport, recreational, glider or private certificate at time of application Minimum GPA of 2.75 Complete solo flight or achieve pilot certificate within one year of receiving the scholarship For additional information and to apply, visit the AOPA website.
