AD 2024-21-02 Lycoming connecting rod bushings

This AD was prompted by several reports of connecting rod failures resulting in uncontained engine failure and in-flight shutdowns (IFSDs). The FAA is issuing this AD to prevent connecting rod failure. If not addressed, the unsafe condition could result in engine failure, an IFSD, and loss of control of the aircraft. This AD goes into effect on 5 Dec 24.
