Solar impulse, a developer of solar-powered flight, is one step closer to its 2015 goal of attempting the first round-the-world solar powered flight. On June 2 the solar-powered Solar Impulse 2 completed a 2 hour, 17 minute flight from the Payerne aerodrome in Switzerland.
The deadline for the local competitions in the annual Reach for the Stars -- National Rocket Competition has been extended to July 31. Local competitions now produce state winners in both Youth and Collegiate categories, who will be invited to compete for the national title at Space Camp/US Space and Rocket Center.
