WOMEN IN AVIATION VOL. II

Grades 6-12

Women in Aviation II is a hands-on activity book highlighting the stories of 13 diverse women. The book provides an introduction to and the historical accounts of the contributions these women have made to the aviation and aerospace fields. The book continues chronologically from Women in Aviation I. The second edition includes women who broke barriers in the fields of commercial flight, military flight, space flight and U.S. defense leadership. Lessons include model-building, online resources, discussion topics and other resources designed to connect today’s youth with these pioneers.

ACE is the Aerospace Connections in Education program.  Curriculum includes 22+ cross-curricular lessons per grade level using the aerospace theme to promote academics with a STEAM focus (STEM + Art), character ed, and physical fitness. 
Each grade level guide can be downloaded from eServices, as noted above, with a click on the K guide to lead to all other guides opening. 

  • Note the grade 6 curriculum guide can also be used in grades 7-8.
