Tuskegee Airmen Essay Competition

In honor of Black History Month CAP Cadets are encouraged to participate in an essay competition.  Air Force Recruiting Service’s Detachment 1 is offering a “Pilot for a Day” trip for the best essay on “How do the Tuskegee Airmen still influence our Air Force today?” The 500- word essay should be detailed, honest, and emphasize passion while answering the question. Cadets must submit their essays to their squadron commander who will select the best essay to submit. The winner of the competition will have the opportunity to meet with Air Force pilots, attend an orientation flight, and receive a flight logbook and Air Force promotional gear.

Squadron commanders please see email with submission details sent on February 12th. Deadline to submit essays is February 22, 2019.
